A Beautiful Planet
-Cinematographer James Neihouse, ASC, may be to Imax documentaries what Roger Deakins, CBE, ASC, BSC, and Janusz Kaminski are to feature films, with a slight twist.
- Short of putting Emmanuel Lubezki through astronaut training, it’s difficult to imagine more rapturously beautiful images of the Earth from orbit than those supplied by “A Beautiful Planet,"
- the spectacular large-format imagery captured by astronauts, is sheer visual poetry as well as a primer on climate change.
- A BEAUTIFUL PLANET: SHOOTING IMAX IS HARD ENOUGH ON EARTH. IN SPACE, IT'S PREPOSTEROUS

"James Neihouse, comes up with enough imaginative angles to keep the monotonous spectacle (how much fun is it really to watch cars drive in a circle?) fresh and exciting, and they even score the ultimate money shot: a crash that sends a loose tire sailing straight toward the viewer's forehead."
